Two Little Bugs by Mark and Rowan Sommerset

Two Little BugsLittle Bug Blue lives on the underside of a leaf, feeling timid, fearful and sorry for itself. Little Bug Red lives in the sunshine on top and is positive and inclusive – and hungry. There is a happy conclusion. It is a charming hardback book with die-cut pages from paper of sufficient quality to withstand little hands repeatedly putting their fingers in the holes and around the shapes. The text, in verse from alternating points of view, is begging to be read aloud. I like this book because it teaches about different points of view through story, without needing to labour the point and preach. It is well suited to littlies coming up to the age of three through to about seven.
